The Dennehy Group signs local candidates

Dan St. Hilaire is a New Hampshire native running for Executive Council District 2. He is a former prosecutor now dedicated to serving his clients. He served on the U.S. Attorney's Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council and Project Safe Neighborhoods. When not practicing law, Dan serves on the Concord City Council as Mayor Pro Tem. He was appointed by Governor Lynch to serve on the Death Penalty Study Commission and the Licensing Board for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors. Dan was also appointed by Governor Benson to the Board of Commissioners for the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center. He is President of the Board of Directors for Touch the Future, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors for the New Hampshire Mental Health Council and served on a judicial committee drafting protocols for juvenile court proceedings. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Senator "Mike" Michael Downing is running for Rockingham County Sheriff. He is a Republican from Salem serving his second term representing Senate District 22. Mike is no stranger to the legislature as he served three terms in the New Hampshire House from 1996 - 2002 where he was a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Resources, Recreation and Development Committee. Mike is a veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division; served as a member of the New Hampshire State Police and the Town of Salem Police Department; a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Salem Haven nursing home and Silverthorne Adult day care. In addition, Mike is involved with numerous community groups including the Salem Amvets Post #2, the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Association, Knights of Columbus, and is a Little League coach. Mike is a member of the Capital Budget Committee, the Executive Departments and Administrative Committee, the Ways and Means Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee. Priorities for this session will be looking for new revenue sources without increasing taxes and to hold the line on non essential spending measures.
